Organized by the Municipal Patronage of the International Contest of Habaneras & Polyphony of Torrevieja, has celebrated during the 28th, 29 and 30 in April, 2006, the Edition XII of the Juvenile Contest of Habaneras.

In which groups controlled corals that travelled up to Torrevieja from different points of Spain, some as far as The Island of Palma, in the archipelago of the Canary Isles, as well as other corals that have his origin in diverse European countries, what one more year, it has given an international appearance to this singular musical event. The contest began with the groups corals of the locality, which as always, they operated out of contest, and the different prizes were for following corals: The First Prize, granted ex-aequo to the corales " Route Stella " of Riga, Latvia and to the Choir of the " School n º 11 " of Bryansk, Russia. The second Prize was for the Choir " Rapla Singing Studio ", of Rapla, Estonia. And the Third Prize it obtained the Juvenile Choir "Amics de l'Unió", of Granollers, Barcelona.
