Four choirs from three continents star in the second night of competition

Torrevieja. 26/07/2012. The 58th International Contest of Habanera and Polyphony of Torrevieja continued on Wednesday night with the choral competition phase. Four choirs from three continents, Europe, America and Asia, climbed to the soundboard of the Eras de la Sal, one of the most multicultural evenings of this edition.

Opened the evening the choir Svetozar Markovic, from Novi Sad in Serbia, led by Bozidar Crnjanski. Then competed Cantoría "Jose Antonio Anzoategui" Dairy (Venezuela), Miguel Prado Villafranca ahead. After the break it was the turn of the choir Wenquin of Zhejiang University in Hangzhou (China) who were led by Yang Baolin. The evening closed with the participation of the Choir of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, Bucaramanga (Colombia), under the direction of Juan Manuel Hernández-Morales.

 

On behalf of the Technical Commission, Jose Francisco Sanchez highlighted how it continues to grow the level of the participating choirs, and the different nuances in the art can appreciate coral as the place of origin.
